GENERAL INFORMATION
Registration:
Course registration can only be accepted in writing by letter, email or by completing our Online Registration Form (links are at the top of each course description page).
Please note that your place can only be reserved once we have received your Registration Fee of Sfr. 60,00 (€ 40,00). For registrations received less than 30 days before the beginning of the course, the entire course fee is required at the time of registration.

After the receipt of your Registration Fee, we will send you a confirmation letter and transfer information for the remaining balance of the course fee.
Important:
Since we often have waiting lists for our courses, reservations can only be confirmed if full payment is received no later than 30 days before the beginning of the course. In the event that a course must be course must be cancelled for any reason, including illness on the part of the course leader, we will refund all fees already paid by the course participants. Other miscellaneous expenses (i.e. train or airline tickets) cannot be reimbursed.
The courses are (with a few exceptions) offered only as a complete unit. Course fee reductions or reimbursements for late arrival or early departures are not possible.
Anyone who is unable to attend one of our courses due to financial considerations should contact us. In certain cases and for certain courses a price reduction may be available.
Cancellations:
For all cancellations, the Sfr. 60,00 Registration Fee is non-refundable.
For cancellations received 29 to 15 days before the beginning of the course, the cancellation fee is Sfr.100,00 (Registration Fee + Sfr. 40,00).
For cancellations received 14 days or less before the beginning of the course, the course fee less Sfr. 100,00 can only be returned if we are able to fill your space with someone from the waiting list.
Rooms:
For most of our course only double and multi-share rooms are available. At the time of registration, it is possible to place your name on the waiting list for a single room. However, single rooms can never be guaranteed. Should a single room become available, the difference in price will be collected from you in the office upon your arrival here in Felsentor.
Courses usually begin with dinner at 6:30 PM. Please plan your arrival so that you can comfortably arrange your room before that time. Please do not arrive at Felsentor for courses before 3:00 PM.
Pets of any kind are not allowable at Felsentor.
Meals:
All meals are vegetarian, but include egg and milk products. Special dietary needs can only be taken into consideration with advance notification (at the time of Registration) and only to a very limited extent.
What to bring with you:
Warm clothing - the weather here in the mountains can deteriorate quickly, even in summer.
Sturdy shoes or boots and a flashlight (torch). The 12-15 minute walk from the Romiti train station to us is not illuminated. It is an unpaved, sometimes steep road which is not suitable for luggage with wheels. We suggest bringing a backpack or duffel bag with shoulder strap.
For meditation, comfortable clothing in muted colors.
House shoes and work clothing will also come in handy.
For those who would like to save the one-time bedding fee of Sfr. 15,00 (€10,00), you can bring your own sleeping bag. We provide bottom sheets, pillows and pillow cases.
DANA (Giving):
For some of our workshops and seminars a teaching fee is not included. This encompasses the Buddhist tradition, where the worth of a teacher cannot be measured with money. The teachers are therefore dependent on voluntary donations (Dana) to make their living and to be able to continue teaching. Giving and generosity are active aspects of a spiritual practice. We suggest Sfr. 40,00 (€ 30,00) per day for the teachers.
Work as a meditation practice:
One hour of work per day in the house or garden is an integral part of most of our courses. Cleaning of your rooms at the end of the course is also an assistance to the Felsentor Team in helping us keep our course fees comparatively low.
Additinal information:
For the participants of all events at Felsentor, physical and mental health is presupposed. Our courses are not intended as a substitute for any necessary psychotherapy and/or medical treatment.
Exclusion of liability:
Participation in our courses is at your own risk. Although we make every effort to insure the safety of course participants and their possessions, the course leaders, as well as the Stiftung Felsentor cannot accept any liability or responsibility for any injury or damage sustained by any person or to their property during a course.
